Orlando

We just got back from a wonderful vacation to Orlando. While we were there we went to Sea World and Magic Kingdom. We vistited at my Aunt Leigh and Uncle Ken's house in The Villages. It was beautiful there. The girls had so much fun! Emerson was truely star struck at seeing Mickey Mouse in person. Here are a few pictures:

My two girls

Here's a little bit about my girls:

Emerson is 2 years old now. Wow does time fly! I feel like it was just yesterday that she was born. She is in preschool two days a week at Special Kids and Families. She's in love with her teacher, Ms. Kathy. She talks about her all the time. Emerson talks so much, just like her momma! She is just so precious. She cracks us up everyday with the things she says. I'm amazed daily with the words she uses that I had no idea she knew. She really loves trains and animals right now. She is definitely a priss! She loves to dress up and walk around in mommy's shoes and jewelry. Life wouldn't be the same without her!

Palmer is almost eight months old. She is such a happy baby, always smiling and showing off those two teeth! She's very laid back. I think part of the reason she is so laid back is because of her very active two year old sister! She's such a mommy's girl! I love it and hate it. I love that she wants to be with me, but it's frustrating that she won't go to other people when I'm around. She just ate real mac and cheese today for the first time and loved it. She loves her big sister more that I can describe. She just lights up when she sees Emerson. Palmer is just getting so big. She does new stuff everyday and it's fun to watch her learn. She has the most piercing, beautiful blue eyes. I can't image a day without her in my life.

I'm the luckiest mom in the whole world to have two such beautiful, wonderful girls. I thank God everyday for them.

Palmer

Many of you know we have been stuggling with Palmer's weight. She looks perfectly healthy, just petite. She has plenty of rolls and extra. She just looks younger than she is. Developmentally, she's doing great. She'll be 8 months on Thursday and is crawling. She's been sitting up since six months. Palmer only gained one ounce from 4 to 6 months, so we are working on getting her to gain weight. She gained 7 ounces after only three weeks. That was great! However, the doctor said she is still in the 5th percentile, so we need to work on getting extra calories down.

Another issue is the bottle. She refuses to take a bottle. It would be easy to supplement if she would take the bottle. We've tried every bottle and nipple out there. Hopefully, it will come with time.

I've been really stressed the past few months about her weight, but I am now at ease with it. I think she is just going to be a petite little girl. Wouldn't everyone love to have that metabolism? I know I would. Here's a picture of her precious smiling face:

I'm finally blogging!

All my friends have blogs and people have tried to talk me into it. I'm finally going to do it. If you know me very well, you know I love pictures and this is a good way to share those. Also, I love to talk, so this is right up my alley. So, I'll give it a try.
